ALOHA! I'm Miss Daquioag!
Hello Maple Hills Families!
My name is Jheyzle Daquioag (I bet you’re scratching your head thinking - how do you say my last name right?!) - It's simple once I tell you :) Ready? Duh-Key-Wug (slow and steady....easy right!?)
I am your child's Kindergarten Teacher! It is your child's FIRST year in the "big" school and I am soooo excited for your child to start their journey with me this 2019-2020 school year. I have been teaching for six years. This year will be my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten at Maple Hills Elementary. I have taught 2 years in Pre-K & Kindergarten in Honolulu, Hawaii and 1 year in Renton, Washington. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I have also attended Chaminade University in Honolulu for my Master's in Education.
The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.

Teaching has always been my passion! I am so lucky to be in the field of education! Watching children learn and grow - it's witnessing that moment when a child has that light-bulb moment - and it just clicks! You'll get to witness it too! It is really NEVER a dull moment in Kindergarten! My goal is to not only teach your children the things they need to prepare them in their future, but most importantly, to instill in them the LOVE of learning through many activities and experiences! I can't wait :)
Here's a little bit of ALOHA in me.
I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Sooo, since I'm still fairly new to Washington....when I'm not teaching, I try to explore the HEART of Washington! I enjoy spending time EATING, hiking, watching movies & shows, EATING, getting lost in a book, and meeting new friends...did I also mention I LOVE TO EAT?! If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear from you!
Some of my favorite things are: Coffee, Seattle Seahawks, Sushi, Boba (Bubble Tea), Pens (yesss....I love to write, color, and draw....with NEW pens!)
